Gran Turismo 7 Announces Spec IV With 12 New Cars and Two Tracks

The two-part free update signals continued long-term live support by adding new tracks, modes and car-management systems.

Overview

  • Polyphony revealed Spec IV at PlayStation’s State of Play with a split release in October and December that will add a total of 12 cars and two circuits to Gran Turismo 7.
  • Sportsland SUGO will arrive in October and will be the circuit’s first appearance in a Gran Turismo title.
  • Autumn Ring returns in December with the original layout faithfully recreated plus a substantially expanded new layout, though Polyphony has not confirmed whether the two layouts connect or whether Autumn Ring Mini will be included.
  • Spec IV introduces multiple new systems and modes, including Car Concierge for ordering used and legend cars, a Vintage section, Car Viewer, Experience challenges, Family Mode, Shuffle Race, Online Drift Trial, an increased Collector cap, a new Power Pack difficulty, and an evolution of Gran Turismo Sophy.
  • Polyphony has published images of some cars but is holding back about half the lineup and mode specifics, and it plans to disclose further details at the Gran Turismo World Series event in Singapore on October 3.
