Overview
- The free version 1.70 update, released Thursday, June 11, 2026, adds five cars: Ferrari 499P, Porsche 963, BMW M Hybrid V8, Peugeot 9X8, and a Porsche 911 Turbo S safety car.
- Polyphony also added five World Circuits events including a Gr.1 Prototype Series race at the 24 Heures du Mans Racing Circuit to give the new hypercars dedicated competition.
- Collectors at or above level 64 gain a new Café Extra Menu called “Collection: Hybrid Prototypes” and Scapes now features a Pikes Peak curation for car photography.
- Patch 1.70 includes UI and gameplay polish such as Drift Trial menu buttons, GT Auto engine-swap availability for select cars, localization fixes, and other bug fixes.
- Players and journalists praised the long-requested prototype additions but noted that buying multiple top prototypes could be costly in credits and that class balancing will matter for fair competition.
