- The regional governor led a first-stone ceremony on February 3 to formally start construction at I.E.I. No. 329 “Mundo Feliz” in Punchana.
- The project is financed through the Obras por Impuestos mechanism under a S/7,242,063.47 investment.
- Capacity is planned to increase from 208 children to about 400 once the expansion is finished.
- Designs include eight classrooms, a psychomotricity room, a multi-use room, accessibility features, hygiene services, and administrative and pedagogical areas.
- Complementary works add a covered formation yard, exterior corridors, cistern and elevated tanks, a perimeter wall, and a security post, with officials positioning the effort as part of closing school infrastructure gaps.
