Overview
- The Ministry of Finance confirmed that banks transferred R$5.7 billion from the Banco Central’s System of Values to Receive (SVR) into the public Fundo de Garantia de Operações to guarantee the Desenrola Brasil 2.0 program.
- After the transfer, about R$4.9 billion remain available in the SVR for withdrawal by account holders according to the central bank’s March balance.
- The SVR balance includes roughly R$8.13 billion tied to 45.3 million individuals and R$2.43 billion linked to about 5 million companies, which determines who can claim funds.
- The government will publish a public call (edital) that opens a 30-day window for contesting transferred amounts and the central bank has reserved funds and technical channels for consultations and returns.
- Account holders must use the Banco Central’s SVR site with a gov.br account (silver or gold) and two-step verification or set a PIX key for automatic refunds, and officials warn the public against fraud attempts.
