Overview

  • Google officially revealed the Pixel 11, Pixel 11 Pro, Pixel 11 Pro XL and Pixel 11 Pro Fold and opened pre-orders Wednesday, with the phones expected to begin shipping around August 20.
  • The lineup starts at $899 for the base Pixel 11 and now uses 256GB as the minimum storage tier, a change Google links to a sector-wide memory shortage that raised prices by roughly $100 versus last year.
  • All four phones run Google’s new Tensor G6 chip and emphasize on-device Gemini AI capabilities such as Gemini Nano for local processing, and the platform adds Titan M3 security and a new MediaTek M90 modem.
  • Pro models add a HiLight LED ring around the camera flash that signals Gemini activity and favorite-contact calls, and Google boosted sensors and software to enable features like Magic Capture, faster Night Sight, and up to 120x Pro Zoom.
  • Google also launched the Pixel Watch 5 and Pixel Tag, promised seven years of OS and security updates for the Pixel 11 family, and positioned the move toward bigger storage and on-device AI as a software-led strategy to differentiate its modest market share.
