Overview
- Google began a phased rollout Tuesday of build CP1A.260505.005 for Pixel 7a through Pixel 10 devices, plus the Pixel Tablet and Pixel 10a.
- The update fixes slow wireless charging when the battery sits between 75% and 80% and resolves a keyboard screen that could freeze or appear misaligned in some apps.
- Pixel 10 phones get display fixes for a flickering white dot and for screens that could turn fuzzy or show noise lines, and the base Pixel 10 gets a camera freeze fix while zooming during video.
- On the Pixel 10 series, the bootloader’s anti-rollback version now increases, which blocks flashing older Android 16 builds after installing the May patch.
- Because Pixel updates install to two slots, manual flashing can leave the inactive slot on an older bootloader and make the phone unbootable, so Google tells tinkerers to sideload the full OTA after the first boot to update both slots; regular OTA users should not be affected.
