Google Rolls Out Gemini Screen Automation to Pixel 10 Series in the U.S.
The assistant completes multi-step tasks inside partner apps in a secure virtual window before handing off at checkout.
Overview
- Part of the March 2026 Feature Drop (Android 16 QPR3), the rollout covers Pixel 10, 10 Pro, and 10 Pro XL in the U.S., with the Pixel 10 Pro Fold showing the setting despite not being officially listed.
- Supported apps include Uber, Lyft, DoorDash, GrubHub, Uber Eats, and Starbucks, with Instacart support noted as coming.
- Users must accept a “Get tasks done with Gemini” consent and enable Screen automation in Gemini settings, after which a task card and system notification appear during runs.
- The system opens the target app in a virtual window to tap, scroll, and type, then stops for user confirmation before any purchase, with cloud-based processing indicated.
- Availability on Pixel is U.S.-only for now, following last week’s Galaxy S26 debut that also covers Korea, and daily use is capped by tier: 5 free, 12 on AI Plus ($7.99), 20 on AI Pro ($19.99), and 120 on AI Ultra ($249.99).
