Overview
- Google released version 5.05 on Monday, August 3, 2026, allowing Google Health on iOS to write exercise records, sleep, vitals, steps and other Fitbit data into Apple Health.
- Users must enable the connection inside Google Health, grant category-specific permissions, and choose how much historical data to share.
- Google Health currently imports up to three months of Apple Health history and says it plans to add longer-history support later.
- Heart rate variability (HRV) is not synced because Google Health and Apple Health use different HRV calculation methods that are not directly compatible.
- The update also adds US-only Smart Health Links for creating secure, shareable medical summaries and is rolling out to Android in phases after the iOS release.
