Google Health 5.07 Fixes Workout Logging, Maps and Health Connect

The update brings targeted fixes to workout logging, maps, weight graphs, Health Connect during a staged rollout this week.

Overview

  • Google released v5.07 Friday, adding multiple targeted fixes that focus on activity tracking, maps rendering, weight-graph scaling, and reconnecting Health Connect.
  • The update makes three manual workout logging changes so users can add and adjust more metrics, see edits appear faster in summaries, and log more details when switching from pool to open-water swims.
  • Maps now load faster, render more smoothly in sessions, and no longer sometimes disappear after runs, rides, or long walks.
  • Trail runs and incline runs are now included in Running Distance totals, the weight graph’s dynamic minimum and maximum range was recalibrated for clearer trend viewing, and a bug that dropped some Android devices from Health Connect was fixed.
  • This release continues Google’s rapid, feedback-driven fixes following the Fitbit-to-Google Health relaunch in May and is rolling out to Android and iOS in stages over the coming week; Health Connect is Google’s cross-app sync system that shares fitness and health data across apps and devices.
