Overview
- Google began a beta rollout on March 10 for AI Pro and AI Ultra subscribers and Gemini Alpha business customers, with Docs, Sheets and Slides available in English worldwide and Drive features launching in the U.S.
- Docs gains a new Help me create flow that drafts fully formatted documents using context from Gmail, Drive, Chat and the web, plus tools to refine selected sections, match writing style and mirror another file’s format.
- Sheets can now build entire spreadsheets from a single prompt, auto-populate cells with Fill with Gemini using data from files or the web, and tackle optimization tasks powered by Google DeepMind and Google Research.
- Slides can generate individual slides that match an existing deck’s theme using Workspace context, with full presentation generation from a single prompt described by Google as coming later.
- Drive adds Gemini-powered AI Overviews in search with citations and an Ask Gemini in Drive feature that answers questions across selected files, emails and calendars while honoring existing security and access controls.
