Google Brings Free Full-Length JEE Main Mock Tests to Gemini in India

The launch signals an India-first education push with vetted local content, upcoming Search integrations and public-sector pilots.

Overview

  • Students can take timed, full-length JEE Main practice papers in the Gemini app or on the web with instant feedback, answer explanations and personalized study plans.
  • Questions are aligned to the latest exam pattern using vetted material from PhysicsWallah and Careers360, and tests can be started with a simple prompt such as “I want to take a JEE Main mock test.”
  • The exam-like format mirrors the real paper with 25 questions each in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics over three hours, with an option to set a custom time limit and support for multiple Indian languages.
  • Google says the JEE tools are rolling out to AI Mode in Search with the Canvas feature for study guides and quizzes, alongside deeper educator capabilities in products like Classroom and NotebookLM.
  • Along with the product launch, Google announced a pilot with India’s Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship and Chaudhary Charan Singh University to build an AI-enabled state university, a ₹85 crore (about $10 million) Google.org grant to Wadhwani AI to scale adaptive learning by 2027, and noted India now leads daily Gemini usage for learning, with CEO Sundar Pichai publicly welcoming the rollout.
