Overview
- Google says availability is set for April–June 2026, with downloads offered at chrome.com/download for most ARM64 Linux distributions.
- Chrome will also be available through NVIDIA’s software package manager for DGX Spark devices to streamline installation.
- The build includes Google account sync, password manager, Chrome Web Store access, Google Pay integration, and DRM streaming support not present in Chromium-only options.
- The rollout follows Chrome releases for Apple Silicon in 2020 and Windows on Arm in 2024 after years of x86‑centric Chromium infrastructure and a 2024 “Won’t Fix” on ARM64 Linux support.
- ARM64 Linux remains a niche but growing target, as Firefox shipped stable ARM64 builds in 2025 and several Chromium-based rivals still lack official support.
