Overview
- Google began rolling out platform properties Tuesday, allowing creators to link Instagram, TikTok, X or YouTube accounts to Search Console through the product’s verification and platform authorization steps.
- Each platform property includes a Performance report that shows clicks and impressions, an Insights view for recent trends and top posts, and an Achievements tracker for milestone progress.
- The new feature shows which Google Search queries lead users to specific social posts and how people interact with that content, and it lets users filter, sort, and export the data for analysis.
- Platform properties differ from June’s public Search profiles because they focus on private analytics rather than creating a shareable profile page for followers.
- The launch builds on a December 2025 experiment that tested social-channel integration, and Google says the option will appear gradually for accounts with help documentation and feedback links available in Search Console.
