Overview
- The temple held a golden chariot procession for Lord Malayappa Swamy with Sridevi and Bhudevi, drawing thousands of devotees.
- TTD staff, led by Executive Officer M. Ravichandra and Additional EO Ch. Venkaiah Chowdary, joined pilgrims to pull the chariot along the four mada streets.
- Priests then carried the deities to the Vasanthotsava Mandapam for Snapana Tirumanjanam, a ritual bath with aromatic substances performed with Vedic hymns.
- Tirumala Pedda Jeeyar Swamy and Chinna Jeeyar Swamy supervised the ceremony, which lasted nearly two hours.
- After the rites, the deities returned to the sanctum on golden palanquins as part of Vasanthotsavam, a Chaitra-month festival linked in tradition to the Vijayanagara era.
