GM Begins Over-the-Air Rollout of Google Gemini to 4 Million U.S. Vehicles

  • GM is sending a no-charge update to 2022 and newer Cadillac, Chevrolet, Buick, and GMC models with Google built-in, replacing Google Assistant with Gemini.
  • Owners will see an on-screen prompt to switch, and the update requires an active OnStar connection, a Google Play sign-in, U.S. English, and an explicit opt-in.
