Overview
- Platforms 7–15 on the west side returned to service on Wednesday, with the 5:45am Ayr train and a 5:48am Avanti service to London among the first departures.
- Access is via low‑level entrances and the Hope Street carriage driveway, with Gordon Street, Union Street and Hope Street entrances closed and station shops and facilities shut.
- ScotRail has restarted services to Ayr, Gourock, Wemyss Bay, Kilmarnock, East Kilbride and Lanark on reduced capacity timetables, and passengers are advised to check before travelling.
- Several lines remain suspended or altered, including Cathcart Circle, Paisley Canal, Neilston and Edinburgh via Shotts/Carstairs, with Largs and Ardrossan trains terminating at Kilwinning and services from Dumfries, Stranraer and Carlisle turning at Kilmarnock.
- Network Rail and ScotRail completed inspections, repairs and temporary relocations of essential systems to enable the phased reopening as demolition crews begin taking down the remaining facade.
