Overview
- Gracie was located during an aerial search on Friday, June 26 about four miles south of Cedar Hollow Ranch by ranch manager Vick Jones and pilot Jeff Hill.
- Officials said she appeared in good condition and was standing near a pond with abundant vegetation when she was seen.
- The ranch manager has contacted a veterinarian and is assembling a team to sedate her, place a hood over her eyes, and load her into a giraffe-sized trailer for the return trip.
- Gracie escaped the ranch around June 11–12 after climbing a rocky slab and coming down on the wrong side of an eight-foot gate, and the owner plans to fortify the area to prevent a repeat.
- The two-week search used ground checks, game cameras, drones and helicopters, drew wide public attention, produced false social media leads, and prompted a $5,000 reward for information that led to her safe recovery.
