Overview
- Thane Traffic Police are enforcing diversions from 12:01 a.m. on December 12 to 11:59 p.m. on December 14 between Gaimukh Nirakendra, Kajupada and the Fountain Hotel stretch.
- PWD and TMC crews are carrying out DBM and mastic resurfacing, including on the damaged section from the new and old Octroi Naka up to the Nira Centre.
- Heavy vehicles are being held at Y Junction, Kapurbawdi Junction, Kharegaon Toll Plaza and Mankoli Naka with prescribed alternate routes via Kharegaon–Mankoli–Anjurphata and Kasheli–Ajurphata.
- DCP Pankaj Shirsath urged motorists to avoid the Bhiwandi Bypass as long queues from Mankoli to Thane Bridge were reported and trucks were rerouted via Anjurphata–Chinchoti to the Mumbai–Ahmedabad Highway.
- Emergency and essential vehicles, including ambulances, police, fire brigades, oxygen transporters and green corridor movements, are exempt from restrictions.
