Overview
- The recall, first posted Thursday on the national Lebensmittelwarnung portal by Rheinland-Pfalz, applies only to two identified lots.
- Affected packs are the 45 g size with 90 capsules and the 100 g size with 200 capsules from batch numbers 2025201611 and 2025201610 with a best-before date of December 31, 2027.
- The capsules were sold in stores and through Govinda’s online shop across most German states, with Bremen, Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, Saxony, and Saxony-Anhalt not listed in distribution.
- Consumers are told not to take capsules from the two batches and to return them for a full refund, with several outlets reporting that no receipt is required.
- Health officials warn that Salmonella can cause nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, and fever after about 48 hours, and anyone who develops symptoms after use should contact a doctor.
