Overview
- Geely publicly launched the 16-in-1 'Intelligent E-Drive' Thursday, staging Guinness World Records demonstrations around Qinghai Lake and naming the Geely TT/Galaxy TT as the first model to use the system.
- The all-in-one unit weighs about 75 kg, runs on an 800V architecture and consolidates motor, power electronics, on-board charging and control functions to reduce wiring and free packaging space.
- Geely reports a 93.8% comprehensive efficiency on China’s CLTC cycle, a claimed combined dual-motor output of 425 kW (570 hp) with 0–100 km/h in about 3.8 seconds, and a power density near 11.8 kW/kg.
- The company also highlighted thermal measures — a 54-channel directional cooling system and active shaft lubrication — plus a five-million-kilometre durability target and public stress tests including an 8.20 kWh/100 km run and a >46 km twin-vehicle drift.
- Independent laboratory tests, homologation under WLTP/EPA cycles and long-term production data are still needed to confirm Geely’s claims and to assess trade-offs for serviceability, supplier roles and real-world range and efficiency.
