• Organizers have confirmed Gay Days will run June 4–8, 2026, with the traditional Red Shirt Day at Magic Kingdom scheduled for Saturday, June 6.
• The panic began with a February 8 statement from Gay Days Inc. announcing a temporary pause to its multi-resort event plan after abrupt host-hotel contract changes and falling corporate sponsorship.
• On February 24 organizers pivoted to a single-host model by executing a 100% buyout of the Holiday Inn & Suites in Celebration to hold expos, pool parties, and late-night mixers all on site.
• The buyout aims to eliminate late-night transportation headaches and fragmented venues for attendees while preserving ticketed, organized events inside the hotel.
• Walt Disney World is independently running resort-wide Pride Month installations, merchandise, and photo walls during June but does not sponsor or organize the independent Gay Days gatherings.
