GAMA: 2025 General Aviation Billings Set Record at $35.7 Billion on Jet Strength

Preliminary GAMA data highlight business jets as the growth engine, with a revision pending once Leonardo’s fourth‑quarter rotorcraft figures are posted.

Overview

  • Total airplane deliveries reached 3,230 in 2025, up 2.2% year over year, as airplane billings rose 16.1% to $31 billion driven by higher‑value jets.
  • Business jet shipments climbed 11.8% to 854 aircraft, piston airplanes edged up to 1,782, and turboprop deliveries fell 5.1% to 594.
  • Rotorcraft shipments declined 1.9% to 938 units, yet helicopter billings increased to $4.7 billion in GAMA’s preliminary tally.
  • Deliveries accelerated late in the year, with 1,027 airplanes shipped in Q4 versus 632 in Q1, including business jet deliveries rising from 141 to 300.
  • GAMA excluded Leonardo Helicopters’ Q4 2024 data from year‑over‑year comparisons and plans to update the report when those figures are released.
