Galicia’s CIUG Halts Media Publication of Selectividad Pass Lists From June

The exam authority cites Spain’s data-protection law for discontinuing the release of individual names.

Overview

  • The Comisión Interuniversitaria de Galicia will stop sending outlets the lists of candidates who passed starting with the June 2026 session.
  • Regional newspapers, including La Voz de Galicia, will not run the traditional pass lists for the first time in 34 years.
  • CIUG will continue to provide aggregate data, sharing overall pass-rate percentages for the June 2–4 exams.
  • The decision reflects compliance with the Spanish data-protection framework and ends a practice in place since 1992.
  • Exam administration and dates remain unchanged, and students will access their individual results through official channels.
