Galicia Forecasts Turn Clearer and Drier for June 5

AEMET updates cut morning rain odds for many Galicia towns while Mexican and Argentine national services warn of separate, active weather threats elsewhere.

Overview

  • Updated municipal forecasts published early Friday show many Galicia towns moving from cloudy, rain-prone mornings on June 4 to largely clear, mostly dry conditions on June 5 based on Agencia Estatal de Meteorología data.
  • Faro de Vigo pieces drawing on AEMET consistently reported that the light rain expected on Thursday carried very small totals (typically 0.1–0.3 mm) so local flooding risk was minimal even when morning precipitation probabilities reached 100%.
  • Mexico’s CONAGUA and the Servicio Meteorológico Nacional say Tropical Wave No. 4, combined with upper-level instability and maritime moisture, will produce strong to very strong storms in the Yucatán Peninsula with heavy rain, lightning, gusts and isolated hail that can cause localized flooding.
  • Argentina’s SMN forecast persistent light drizzle for Tucumán with a daytime high near 21°C and sustained high humidity that will keep conditions damp through the day.
  • Forecasters note that high relative humidity (often 80–93%) and gusty winds (reported up to about 40–48 km/h) are the main secondary impacts for Galicia and the Yucatán region, affecting comfort and visibility despite low rainfall totals in northwest Spain.
