GAA Confirms Round 2A/2B Draw and Fixtures for June 13–14

The draw sets direct quarter-final routes for Round 2A winners and locks in venues and kick-offs that resolve home‑ground choices and managerial timing.

Overview

  • The official Round 2A and 2B draw was made on Tuesday and produced these pairings: Donegal v Cork, Galway v Westmeath, Tyrone v Mayo, Louth v Armagh, Derry v Meath, Kildare v Kerry, Cavan v Dublin and Monaghan v Roscommon.
  • The GAA’s Central Competitions Control Committee confirmed on Wednesday that all eight fixtures will be played on the weekend of June 13–14 with specific times and venues now set.
  • Under the restored backdoor format the four winners of Round 2A progress straight to the All‑Ireland quarter‑finals, the losers of 2A drop into Round 3, Round 2B winners move into Round 3 and Round 2B losers are eliminated.
  • Key venue decisions include Donegal hosting Cork at MacCumhaill Park in Ballybofey and Louth’s home tie against Armagh being staged at Páirc Grattan, Inniskeen, while Cavan v Dublin is scheduled for Sunday to allow Dublin manager Ger Brennan to return after his 12‑week ban expires.
  • Teams now have 10–11 days to prepare and manage fitness and disciplinary issues before Round 2, and some fixtures will be shown on GAA+ with selected coverage on RTÉ, changing how supporters can follow games.
