Fueling Alerts Abort MXAO-1 Launch as New Attempt Set for Nov. 28

The local-government-built nanosatellite is flying on SpaceX’s Transporter-15 rideshare alongside dozens of payloads.

Overview

  • The third launch attempt was halted about 15 minutes before liftoff at Vandenberg after alerts triggered during Falcon 9 liquid oxygen and fuel loading.
  • SpaceX said the rocket and payload remain in good condition following the abort.
  • Officials rescheduled the attempt for Friday, Nov. 28 at 12:18 p.m. Central Time, contingent on safety checks.
  • The mission is part of Transporter-15, a rideshare on Falcon 9 carrying 58 small satellites from 16 countries.
  • MXAO-1, developed by Álvaro Obregón’s university–industry cluster and billed as the first local-government microsatellite in Mexico and Latin America, will deliver hyperspectral data to a Santa Fe analysis center for environmental and urban projects.
