- The Food Safety Authority of Ireland has issued and expanded recalls after detecting salmonella in numerous sesame‑seed and seed‑mix batches sold under multiple brands, including SuperValu, Gem, Sysco, Sowans and Tesco.
- The recall now covers retail packs, bulk lots and more than 40 Dunnes Stores Baxter & Greene loose salad‑bar and pre‑packed items that contain the implicated sesame seeds, and retailers have been told to remove affected stock and display recall notices.
