Overview
- FromSoftware began distributing download codes and a roughly 3.8–4GB preload to selected applicants Tuesday so chosen Nintendo Switch 2 owners can join the Closed Network Test running in five four-hour windows from August 21–24.
- The studio says the test's main goals are to stress servers, collect bug reports via in-test surveys, and tune balance across network environments rather than preview full game features.
- Publishers have moved to tightly control sharing during the test with Bandai Namco’s terms barring screenshots or streams and reports that capture has been disabled on participant consoles to prevent leaks.
- Despite those steps, an accidental early preview published by 4Gamers and reuploaded to Bilibili plus datamines have leaked short gameplay clips and file-based hints about a larger roster than the six Bloodsworn available in the test.
- The Duskbloods is FromSoftware’s first Nintendo home-console exclusive and a multiplayer-first experiment, and FromSoftware says its partnership with Nintendo helped shape onboarding and balance decisions for the title due in 2026.
