FromSoftware and Nintendo Set Closed Network Test For The Duskbloods in Late August

The limited test will let selected Nintendo Switch 2 owners stress servers and tune multiplayer balance before the game's 2026 launch window.

Overview

  • Nintendo and FromSoftware announced a closed Network Test running across short session windows from August 21 to August 24, with sign-ups opening July 22 and closing July 28 and successful applicants notified on August 7.
  • To apply and take part players must own a Nintendo Switch 2, sign in with a Nintendo Account, and hold an active Nintendo Switch Online membership, and selected participants will receive download codes for a pre-release build.
  • The trial is explicitly designed to test game server load, multiplayer behavior across different network environments, and game balance using matches that support up to eight players while developers gather real-world data.
  • Participants should expect a limited, pre-release build that may contain bugs and restricted capture or sharing tools during sessions, and the network test client will be available on the Nintendo eShop before the test.
  • The Duskbloods remains a Switch 2 exclusive slated for 2026, and this playtest follows FromSoftware's prior multiplayer trials as a way to refine online systems while limiting early exposure and access to paid-service subscribers.
