Overview
- Multiple outlets reported Monday that the Yacht and Beach Club FriendShip Boat dock has reopened and boats have resumed regular stops around Crescent Lake.
- The dock had been closed for a scheduled Aug. 17–21 maintenance window that extended because of worker delays while crews removed old planks and installed new wooden decking along the pier.
- Walt Disney World is continuing a phased, multi-year exterior refurbishment of the two resorts with work on the Yacht Club expected to finish in late 2026 and heavy Beach Club work running through late 2027.
- The Beach Club Villas lobby is under phased interior maintenance through mid-September 2026 and Disney’s construction bulletin warns guests they may see daytime noise from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. and that some room balconies may be temporarily closed for safety.
- Guests should confirm current transport options before travel because Disney provided bus and walking alternatives during the dock outage and the Disney Skyliner will be closed for refurbishment Jan. 24–30, 2027 with complimentary bus service then available.
