- In the week’s opening run at Cañuelas, only 7,159 head were offered as the General Index rose 2.89% and the Novillo Index 1.68%, with light steers peaking at $5,500/kg and heifers up to $5,300.
- In Jesús María, consumption categories jumped sharply week over week, with heavy light steers up 14% to $5,150/kg and 300–350 kg lots reaching $5,280/kg (+10.4%).
- CICCRA reported January’s Mercado de Cañuelas average at $3,512.8 per kg live weight, down 1.6% month on month due to a shift in mix, while most categories posted monthly increases.
