French Broad Chocolates Recalls Bonbon Boxes Over Mislabeled Walnuts

The misprinted flavor guide could mislead people with walnut allergies.

Overview

  • The FDA posted a recall for French Broad’s Bette’s Bake Sale bonbon boxes in 6, 12, and 24 pieces tied to batches 260414 and 260417.
  • A tasting-guide error swapped the Walnut Fudge and Peach Cobbler pieces, so walnuts were not correctly identified.
  • The recalled boxes were sold online and shipped to customers in about 40 to 41 states and Washington, D.C.
  • People with walnut or tree-nut allergies should throw the boxes away or return them for a refund using support@frenchbroadchocolates.com or 828-252-4181.
  • No illnesses have been reported, after a company employee spotted the mistake before any cases surfaced.
