- NuEra Cannabis opened Friday at 325 Leonard Wood Dr. in Frankfort, becoming the city’s first medical dispensary and the fifth statewide.
- The dispensary is selling lab-tested THC products from in-state cultivators in compliance with the Office of Medical Cannabis.
- Initial inventory features flower only, with vapes and gummies expected within weeks and overall supply likely constrained for the next couple of months, according to licensee Divina Capellupo.
- Patients must show a state-issued medical cannabis card and identification to buy products, with qualifying conditions including cancer, epilepsy, multiple sclerosis and PTSD.
- Separately, House Bill 199 would place a constitutional decriminalization measure before voters, is currently in the House Elections, Constitutional Amendments and Intergovernmental Affairs Committee, would allow adults 21 and older to possess up to one ounce, and still needs approval from both chambers.
