France Travail Registrations Tick Up but Adjustments Show a Small Drop

Dares’ headline figures show a rise in registered jobseekers while corrected counts that strip out automatic RSA enrollments and non-radiations indicate a slight fall.

Overview

  • Dares reports category A jobseekers with no activity rose 0.8% to 3,323,000, an increase of 27,900 in the headline Q2 2026 figures.
  • Including part-time jobseekers in categories B and C, the total required to seek work climbed 1.3% to 5,801,500 and the A–E set rose 1.1% (+72,000).
  • When Dares removes automatic registrations of RSA beneficiaries and counts affected by non-radiation since June 2025, the corrected series shows a 0.2% decline for Q2 2026.
  • Automatic RSA enrollment adds people to France Travail rolls without a job search requirement and delayed removals keep inactive names on the list, which together inflate headline registration totals.
  • The mixed signals make short-term labour-market direction unclear and complicate policy reading, so analysts and officials will watch corrected series and upcoming releases to judge real momentum.
