Overview
- France’s government recall portal Rappel Conso has activated a national recall of several cooked-ham products after detection of Listeria monocytogenes.
- Affected products include Aoste Aostinos 2 slices 130 g, Aoste “jambon cuit au torchon” 4 slices 240 g or 260 g, and U-brand “jambon cuit supérieur cuisiné à l’os” 2 slices 130 g and 4 slices 260 g.
- The recalled items were sold across major retailers including Leclerc, Intermarché, Auchan, Casino and Super U, as well as Aoste factory outlets and some specialty stores.
- Downgraded cooked-ham slices sold locally in the Rhône and Isère are also included in the recall.
- Consumers are instructed not to eat the listed items, to destroy them or return them for a refund, and to consult a doctor if fever, headaches or muscle aches appear, with heightened caution for pregnant people, the elderly and immunocompromised given an incubation period of up to eight weeks.
