Foxconn Q1 Revenue Jumps 30% as AI Server Demand Surges

Management warns that shifting geopolitics could disrupt supply chains.

Overview

  • Foxconn, which reported Sunday, said first-quarter revenue rose 29.7% year on year to T$2.13 trillion, or about $66.6 billion.
  • Most of the increase came from AI servers in its cloud and networking unit, and iPhone assembly also rose on new Apple launches as Foxconn serves as Nvidia’s biggest server maker and Apple’s top iPhone assembler.
  • March sales set a monthly record at T$803.7 billion, up 45.6% from a year earlier.
  • The company expects operations to grow in the second quarter from both last quarter and last year, with demand for AI rack systems continuing to climb.
  • Foxconn cautioned that volatile global politics, especially the Middle East conflict, could affect operations, and it will report full first-quarter results on May 14.
