Overview
- Officials confirmed late Thursday that a four-vehicle crash occurred on northbound I-57 at 127th Street just after 11 p.m.
- State police said the crash involved two passenger cars, a pickup truck and an ambulance that was carrying a child at the time of the collision.
- The child was moved from the ambulance at the scene into a different ambulance and transported to Comer Children’s Hospital for pediatric care.
- At least two other people were taken to area hospitals with their conditions not yet released, and one person was taken to Little Company of Mary Hospital.
