Overview
- Police were called at 2.13am on Friday, June 19 after an 18-year-old was found with a suspected stab wound outside Poole Hospital and he was later pronounced dead in hospital.
- Dorset Police opened a murder inquiry and have arrested four men who remain in custody on suspicion of murder while two earlier suspects were released with no further action.
- Detectives say the victim was likely injured in Dale Close before being taken by car to Longfleet Road and forensic teams have searched Dale Close and an address in Blandford as enquiries continue.
- Officers had appealed for footage and witnesses about a dark-coloured Nissan Juke seen near Dale Close and police have since traced the vehicle while still asking the public to submit CCTV, doorbell or dashcam material.
- Local residents have expressed shock and concern about safety and emergency response times, the police and the police and crime commissioner have offered reassurance, and no charges have yet been filed as enquiries proceed.
