Four Killed in Alleged Street‑Racing Crash in Islamabad

A crash at Athal/Uthal Chowk in Bharakahu killed four people and injured four others after two cars reportedly collided and triggered nearby motorcyclists to fall.
Local witnesses said a black Land Cruiser and a Toyota Aqua appeared to be racing after coming from Murree when they collided, but police have not yet issued a formal cause.
Two of the dead have been named as Naseer Abbasi and Amir while the other victims remain unidentified and the injured were taken to a nearby hospital with two in critical condition.
Authorities registered a case at Bharakahu police station, seized both vehicles and are investigating the collision while the drivers who abandoned the cars remain at large.
The probe could lead to criminal charges and increased enforcement on Murree Road, and families of victims face immediate medical bills and funeral arrangements as authorities seek the fleeing drivers.
