  • Earlier Friday, a 31-year-old woman on the 6800 block of South Ashland Avenue suffered a gunshot wound to her hand and declined on-scene medical treatment.
  • Around 3 a.m., a 48-year-old man driving near the 4300 block of South Wood Street was shot in the back and self-transported to Rush Hospital in good condition, and police noted a separate crash tied to the River North gunfire with no additional injuries.
