Overview
- Police say four men broke into a Sector 23 house on June 4, held family members including an 11-year-old at knifepoint, and stole gold, diamonds, cash and other valuables.
- A Palam Vihar crime-branch team traced the suspects to Bajghera and, during a June 10 arrest attempt, the men jumped into the Dwarka Expressway underpass and suffered multiple fractures.
- Authorities identified the four as Mohammad Khairul Arman, Mohammad Maman, Mohammad Hilal and Mamo Khan and say all are Bangladeshi nationals now admitted to a local civil hospital.
- Police records show extensive prior cases against the group across Delhi, Haryana and Uttar Pradesh and investigators say the suspects used Sangam Vihar hideouts and periodic trips to Bangladesh to stash loot.
- Officials are still reconciling differing estimates of the stolen value, will formally arrest the men after medical clearance, and are working to recover property and locate other alleged gang members.
