Four Arrested After 18-Year-Old Dies in Baildon Crash

Detectives are exploring possible involvement of a white Suzuki Swift, with a public appeal for witness footage.

  • Emergency services were called at 12:55 a.m. on December 20 after a grey Ford Fiesta crashed into the garden of a property on West Lane, Baildon.
  • An 18-year-old driver was pronounced dead at the scene, and a 17-year-old girl was taken to hospital with serious injuries now described as serious but stable.
  • West Yorkshire Police say the Fiesta may have been traveling in tandem with a white Suzuki Swift SZ3 shortly before the collision.
  • Three 18-year-old men were arrested on suspicion of death by dangerous driving, and a 40-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving and assisting an offender.
  • All four suspects remain in custody as the Major Collision and Enquiry Team investigates and asks anyone with information or footage to contact 101 quoting police log 0095 of December 20.
