Overview
- Di Grassi, who announced his decision on Thursday, will complete the season and make his final start at the London finale on August 15–16.
- He won the 2016–17 Formula E title, took 13 victories and 41 podiums, and earlier raced in Formula 1 and the World Endurance Championship with three Le Mans podiums.
- He will support Lola Yamaha ABT on development of Gen4, the next Formula E car due next season, and series leaders said they expect him to stay closely involved.
- The 41-year-old cited the end of the Gen3 cycle and a desire to add more value off the track, as recent results included no points in the first six races with Lola and no top‑15 season finish since 2023.
- His exit continues a changing of the guard in Formula E, following fellow ever‑present Sam Bird’s departure last year.
