Forza Horizon 6’s Series 2 Patch Rebalances AI, Closes Exploit and Cuts Grind

Developers say the update is meant to restore fair competition, speed player progression and fix key technical issues.

Overview

  • The Series 2 update is live on Xbox Series X|S and Windows PC/Steam and includes Drivatar AI difficulty tuning plus a fix for inconsistent Drivatar race starts.
  • Playground Games altered drag-tire physics to remove their out-of-place cornering grip while keeping Performance Index values the same, and the studio will remove pre-patch leaderboard times set with drag tires over time.
  • The Horizon Play XP curve between levels 26 and 100 was reworked to reduce grind, with many players receiving large level jumps and those at level 32 or above pushed straight to level 100.
  • As part of exploit remediation, players are being granted a free 2021 McLaren Sabre, and the patch also delivers multiple visual, audio and Road Discovery fixes plus support guidance for anyone who experienced save-data loss.
  • The patch is the first major post-launch rebalancing step in a planned live-service roadmap that includes monthly series, a paid Car Pass, two expansions and a confirmed PlayStation 5 release later in 2026 while developers continue to monitor outstanding issues.
