Fortnite Adds Five New Sprites and Soccer Pitch for Gone Wild Event

The limited-time run ties new in-match powers to map actions, boss drops, timed Power Hours, extraction rewards to steer player activity.

Overview

  • Epic confirmed on Twitter that five new Sprites arrive as part of the Gone Wild event, which reporting says will run from June 25 through July 9 and be available on PC, consoles, and mobile.
  • Destructoid and other outlets report the new Sprites are Striker, Fishy, Aura, Boss, and Grim Reaper, each granting a distinct in-match ability such as Overdrive on mantles, faster swimming, a Shock Rock charge, extra max health and shield, and attacker tracking.
  • A new Soccer Pitch point of interest will appear on the map at launch and is reported to be tied to unlocking the Striker Sprite by scoring a goal, while the Boss Sprite is said to drop from seasonal bosses and other Sprites require specific in-match actions or rewards.
  • The event will include timed modifiers that boost certain Sprite odds and rewards, with a reported Galaxy Hour on June 27 and recurring Mastery Monday windows that raise rarity odds and double Dust Sprite rewards for extractions.
  • Several articles note that specific mechanics and spawn odds come from reporting and player leaks and that full confirmation of in-game behaviour and exact drop rates will arrive when the event and map update go live on June 25.
