Overview
- Todd Baldwin pleaded guilty Tuesday to two federal counts of online child enticement and two counts of receiving child pornography and admitted additional uncharged enticement and possession.
- Prosecutors say Baldwin used Snapchat, Gmail and payment apps such as Venmo and CashApp from October 2021 through August 2023 to pay boys aged 16 and 17 to produce sexual images and videos.
- Investigators allege Baldwin arranged photoshoots in his Valley Christian office, bought a ring light to improve image quality, and solicited worn clothing that he told some victims he would resell online.
- The probe began in August 2023 with searches of his office and home and the FBI recovered devices and records showing at least 28 Venmo payments totaling $4,265 to one teen and 19 payments totaling $2,050 to a second teen.
- Baldwin is free on bond under home detention and electronic monitoring, faces a statutory minimum of 10 years up to life in prison plus fines and restitution, and the case will move to sentencing and victim-compensation proceedings in January.
