Overview
- Nathaniel John Spencer, 38, from Quinton, appeared at North Staffordshire Justice Centre on 20 January in relation to alleged offences against 38 individuals.
- He was released on conditional bail that bars unsupervised contact with female children under 18 and prohibits work in NHS, private healthcare or clinical settings.
- The 45 counts comprise 15 charges of sexual assault, 17 of assault by penetration, nine of sexual assault of a child under 13, three of assault of a child under 13 by penetration and one attempted assault by penetration.
- Staffordshire Police say the alleged offending occurred between 2017 and 2021 and relates to incidents at Royal Stoke University Hospital and Russells Hall Hospital.
- Spencer previously worked at UHNM from August 2017 to August 2020 and on placement at The Dudley Group from August 2020 to April 2021, with the case due at Stoke-on-Trent Crown Court on 20 February.
