Overview
- Norma Matamoros, 52, a former house cleaner for the victims and stepmother to one suspect, was booked on suspicion of kidnapping, robbery, elder abuse and assault with a deadly weapon, and is held on $1 million bail.
- Two men, Hugo Matamoros-Acosta, 20, of Hidden Valley Lake, and Sincere Rush Tanner, 22, of Santa Rosa, were earlier arrested after being tracked to a Middletown casino.
- Detectives executing a search warrant say they recovered a firearm from Tanner’s vehicle that they believe was used in the robbery.
- The Sept. 12 break-in on Wood Valley Road involved three masked, armed intruders who restrained three people, threatened them, struck one with a blunt object, and fled with thousands of dollars in valuables.
- Authorities report the older couple were not seriously injured, and they say the investigation is ongoing with the possibility of additional arrests.
