Ford’s notice cites moisture ingress into the ARB Solis wiring harness, which can corrode components and generate heat leading to a fire while parked or driving.
ARB has separately recalled the SJBAHARNFRD wiring loom after finding the connector may not fully engage, with incidents reported.
Ford is providing step-by-step deactivation instructions as a temporary measure so customers can keep driving until a final repair is available.
