Ford Expands Argentina-Built Ranger XL Line With Work Variants, Adds Automatic Option

Ford builds the variants in Pacheco for Argentina’s work fleets with availability in April 2026.

Overview

  • Launch covers the XL Cabina Simple and XL Cabina Chasis plus a new six-speed automatic for the XL Doble Cabina.
  • All XL versions use a 2.0‑liter turbodiesel rated at 170 hp and 405 Nm, with a six-speed manual standard and an AT6 offered on the Doble Cabina.
  • 4x4 configurations include a 2H/4H/4L transfer case, 100% rear differential lock, hill descent control and 800 mm wading capability.
  • Payload reaches 1,310 kg on Cabina Chasis 4x4 and 1,162/1,139 kg on Cabina Simple 4x4/4x2, while towing is up to 2,500 kg for Cabina Simple/Chasis and 3,500 kg for the XL Doble Cabina automatic.
  • Suggested prices run from ARS 43.5 million to ARS 56.2 million, with nationwide sales from April 2026 and a five‑year/150,000 km warranty, following an $870 million Pacheco investment and an Expoagro unveiling.
